Runners will receive a participant T-shirt and a finisher medal, plus the chance to fuel up with a delicious post-race pancake breakfast at East Lake Fire Rescue Station 57, located at 3375 Lake Tarpon Blvd.
The event not only promotes health and wellness but also supports a meaningful cause, as proceeds will benefit the family of Retired Fire Chief Tom Jamison, whose granddaughter is bravely battling Stage 3 brain cancer. Since its inception in 2022, the East Lake Firefighters Benevolent Association has made a significant impact in the community, providing assistance to first responders and their families. With awards for top finishers and age group categories, this 5K promises to be a memorable experience for all. The East Lake Firefighters Benevolent Association is proud to welcome back their Annual East Lake Firefighters 5K on February 28, 2026. This chip-timed race includes a participant T-shirt and finisher medal for all runners who , along with a post-race pancake breakfast at East Lake Fire Rescue Station 57 located at 3375 Lake Tarpon Blvd, Palm Harbor, FL, 34685.
Since our founding in 2022, the Benevolent Association has donated tens of thousands of dollars to support first responders facing serious medical challengesespecially those battling cancer due to job-related exposures. Beyond that, weve connected with thousands of local children through community outreach, supported the East Lake Rotary Club, assisted with hurricane cleanup efforts, and helped families in need experience a meaningful Christmas.
This years 5K will benefit the family of Retired Fire Chief Tom Jamison. Chief Jamisons 4-year-old granddaughter is currently battling Stage 3 brain cancer, and a portion of all proceeds will be donated directly to her family. We look forward to a morning of fitness, fun, and fundraising in support of a truly meaningful cause.
