Get ready for the Emerald Chase, an exciting 5K and 10K run/walk event taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the charming town of Manistique, Schoolcraft. As part of the vibrant Folkfest festivities, this race promises to be a fantastic day filled with community spirit and healthy competition. Participants will kick off their journey at the Manistique Senior Center, where they will follow a familiar course that has delighted runners in previous years.
Registration is easy and can be done online, with packet pickup available on Friday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Manistique High School or on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Senior Center. Runners will have the chance to earn awards, including medals for the top three male and female finishers in all 5K divisions, as well as accolades for the top five runners in the 10K. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and celebration at the Emerald Chase!
