Join us for the vibrant 17th Annual Eve Carson Memorial 5K for Education on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, in the beautiful setting of Chapel Hill, Orange. This exciting event honors the remarkable leadership and community service of Eve Carson during her time at UNC-Chapel Hill. Registration and check-in will kick off at 6:00 AM, with the race starting at 7:30 AM. Runners will enjoy a scenic route beginning and ending at the Campus Y, creating a festive atmosphere for all participants.
Pre-race festivities will begin at 7:15 AM, featuring an uplifting performance by the Clef Hangers and plenty of surprises to enhance the celebration. Families can look forward to a variety of activities and vendors to explore. For those joining virtually, you can track your run or walk and compete with fellow participants through the Strava group until 5:00 PM on November 2nd. Proceeds from this cherished event support the Eve Marie Carson Memorial Junior-Year Merit Scholarship and the Pi Beta Phi Literacy Fund. The 2024 Eve Carson Memorial 5K for Education is an event to celebrate the outstanding leadership and support of community service Eve Carson exhibited during her time at UNC-Chapel Hill. This year, the 17th Annual Eve Carson Memorial 5K will be held on October 26th, 2024 with REGISTRATION AND CHECK-IN STARTING AT 6:00AM AND THE RACE BEGINNING AT 7:30AM!
We have a great route starting and finishing at the Campus Y. PACKET PICKUP WILL OCCUR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH ON CAMPUS (DETAILS COMING SOON!), but if you are unable to pick up your packet in advance you can also pick it up before the race starts. Pre-race festivities start at 7:15AM AND INCLUDE A PERFORMANCE BY THE CLEF HANGERS, as well as a few surprises to help celebrate this exciting event! Additionally, we will have many vendors and family-friendly activities!
