Fairmount Park Conservancy is proud to be an official charity partner of this years Philadelphia Marathon Weekend! [https://www.philadelphiamarathon.com/] As one of the top-10 marathons in the country, the beautiful and scenic course takes athletes past historic landmarks, through urban neighborhoods, and along Philadelphias picturesque waterfronts. And best of all, the marathon route takes you through 15 miles of beautiful parkland! By joining our team of Park Champions you'll help us in the ongoing effort to keep Fairmount Park a safe and clean sanctuary for our city. Its not just a place you run through, but a place you run FOR.
To receive a bib, you must register by OCTOBER 30, and commit to the following fees / fundraising:
FULL MARATHON
- $100 INITIAL REGISTRATION FEE
- $400 OF ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISING
HALF MARATHON
- $50 INITIAL REGISTRATION FEE
- $200 OF ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISING
Additional funds must be received through the RunSignUp platform by DECEMBER 8, 2025. Any unraised funds will be charged to the credit card on file for registration on December 9.

Thanks to hundreds of runners who have supported our charity teams over the last 10 years, we've been able to restore the historic Belmont Plateau 5k Cross Country Course [https://myphillypark.org/what-we-do/capital-projects/belmont-plateau-2/] and create the Trolley Trail [https://myphillypark.org/what-we-do/capital-projects/trolley-trail/], a 4-mile loop trail around West Park following the route of the former Fairmount Park Trolley. Help us continue our work and join our team!

The 26.2 mile AACR Philadelphia Marathon redefines the experience of what a marathon should be. A beautiful, fast and scenic course, an engaging atmosphereits no wonder were consistently listed among the top ten marathons in the country, recognized for our mellow weather and spirited fans. Expect beautiful views through Fairmount Park and along the Schuylkill River and neighborhood residents cheering in University City and Manayunk. Weave through the well-traveled streets of our historic district, passing sights familiar to Franklin, Washington and the rest of the gang, and end your race speeding towards the steps of the majestic Art Museum. There are course check points at the 2.2 mile, 10K, 15K, 13.1 mile, 30K, 40K marks along the course, and fluid stations and spectator overlooks are set up throughout the course. The Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Events are USATF sanctioned and course-certified. -
