This vibrant event invites runners and walkers of all ages to don their best pink or flamingo-themed attire while supporting local animal rescues, including Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly's Fosters, and Wild Whiskers. The race kicks off at 7:30 AM sharp, with registration including a stylish high-performance race shirt and a charming flamingo finisher medal.
Bring the whole family—kids 11 and under can participate for free with a registered adult! While they won’t receive a shirt or medal, we have fun flamingo swag just for them. Arrive early to enjoy light refreshments, and don’t miss the awards ceremony at 8:30 AM for top finishers and the best costume prizes. COME AND JOIN US FOR THE FIRST-EVER FLAMINGO RUN FOR RESCUES 5K ON MAY 9TH, 2026
Run or walk your way through the beautiful Riverbend Park course while supporting the following local animal rescues-_ PALM BEACH PURRS_, _GREAT DANE RESCUE OF SOUTH FLORIDA_, _KELLYS FOSTERS_ AND _WILD WHISKERS! _
Come dressed in your best PINK or Flamingo-themed outfit! Registration includes a high-performance race shirt and flamingo finisher metal.
The Flamingo 5K starts at 7:30 am SHARP! Please allow extra time to park and walk to start line. The road to the race entrance closes at 7:10am for the safety of the runners. Timing is done by AccuChip Race Timing.
There will be an awards ceremony at 8:30am for top finishers three deep, age-group finishers three deep, and flamingo themed prizes for the best group costume and best individual costume!
KIDS 11 AND UNDER ARE FREE WITH A REGISTERED ADULT. They will not receive a shirt or medal BUT we have fun flamingo swag for them! Strollers are allowed.
Race Day schedule:
Onsite packet pick up 6am-7am (Pre race packet pick up at PetSmart on Friday, May 8th)
Arrive and park by 7am (follow signs and volunteers in pink reflector vests)
Bathrooms, water, coffee and light refreshments available by the start/finish line
Road to race entrance closes at 7:10am
Race starts at promptly 7:30am
Awards ceremony starts at 8:30am

RACE POLICY (Strollers, dogs, etc.)
In the interest of safety and to address liability concerns, please note that strollers are allowed however animals are prohibited on the course and at the park. Access to the course is exclusively granted to registered runners and walkers who are wearing the official race bib. Additionally, the use of scooters, bikes, skateboards, and similar devices is strictly prohibited. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is greatly appreciated. No dogs are allowed at Riverbend Park.
