The Indian Mountain Miners Mile is a serious but family friendly event. The race will be held on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Indian Mountain State Park. Starting time is 9:00am. You can pick up packets on race day between 8:00am and 8:45am. You can register the day of the race as well between 8:00am and 8:45am. This race will be a 5K Run/Walk event. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medal for each age division. This is a level course where you have the opportunity to see the town from the beauty of the park to the history of downtown .We would love to have you come out and participate in this event.
The Friends of Indian Mountain State Park will be hosting this event. This group aids an supports the park to offer activities and events as well as safe and quality outdoor experiences which connect our community in conjunction with park staff. The Friends of Indian Mountain would like to dedicate this race in memory of Dr. Matthew Rafalski, who originally created this event (The Miner's Mile) which occurred annually from 2007 through 2019. Although this is a step down from the original Miner's Mile being only a 5K Race/Walk instead of a 2 mile walk and 5K/10K race we hope to carry on his dedication and hard work he put into the Miner's Mile and our community.
