Starting at 8:00 a.m. for the Half Marathon, 8:45 a.m. for the 10K, and 9:00 a.m. for the 5K, each runner will receive a limited-edition Frosty Woods coffee mug to commemorate their achievement. After crossing the finish line, indulge in Dave’s famous turkey chili, Danette’s delicious lentil bean soup, and a variety of hot and cold drinks to warm up. Organiser's Description
Every runner receives a limited-edition Frosty Woods coffee mug to take home. After the finish, warm up with Dave’s famous turkey chili, Danette’s lentil bean soup, and hot and cold drinks. Trail runners and mountain bikers race separately with staggered starts, then share the post-race celebration.
Frosty Woods is the USATF-sanctioned Way Over Yonder Trail Run Series finale. The Half Marathon starts at 8:00 a.m., the 10K at 8:45 a.m. and the 5K at 9:00 a.m.
Route and elevation
The Frosty Woods courses wind through Ringwood State Park on mostly wooded singletrack, with stretches of fire road, rolling hills and classic North Jersey rocks and roots. The Half Marathon follows one continuous 13.1-mile loop; the 10K covers approximately 6.6 miles with 722 feet of climbing; and the 5K covers approximately 3.2 miles with 394 feet of climbing. Expect a rewarding late-season trail challenge, whatever distance you choose.
