Kick off your summer in style at the FTC Summer Track Meet on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Gainesville, Alachua! Registration is conveniently available online until noon on the day of the event, and for those who miss the deadline, on-site registration opens at 5:45 PM. Best of all, this is an All-You-Can-Race event, meaning you can participate in as many races as you wish! With free entry for Florida Track Club members and children under 18, and a nominal fee of $15 for non-members, there’s no reason to miss out on this fun-filled day of athleticism and community spirit. Join us and help celebrate the joy of running, rowing, and camaraderie in beautiful Gainesville!

Get your Summer started off fast with our Summer Track Meet! We'll have multiple events, including a Donut Mile (yes, it's exactly what you think it is for age 16 and older ). We will also have a 2k erg race as well as a Duathalon (2k erg and run 1 mile). These two events are sponsored by Gainesville Area Rowing (GAR).
Gainesville Area Rowing, Inc. (GAR) is a non-profit Florida corporation created to promote rowing as a sport in the Gainesville/Alachua County area. GAR teaches physical fitness, nutrition, and psychological skills that lead rowers to heightened mental and physical self-awareness. Through the active participation of its members, GAR provides the equipment and professional coaching staff to compete on a national level. GAR includes a high school program, a middle school program, and a Masters (adult) program.
All ages and abilities welcome! This is an All-You-Can-Race event, compete in as many events as you'd like! This race is FREE for Florida Track Club Members and and children under 18. CLOSED6:20 Opening remarks 6:30 Meet starts - 400m (multiple heats) 6:40 1600 (2 heats) 6:55 - Kids 100 meter (kids 10 and under, kids do NOT need to register for this event) 7:00- 200m (multiple heats) 7:10 800m (multiple heats) 7:20 - 100m (unofficial hand-timed only) 7:30 5000 (one heat) 7:55 - 4 x 400m relay 8:10 -Donut Mile. 18 and up only. Donuts will be supplied by the FTC.
