WELCOME TO THE FIRST YEAR OF THE FULL MOON 5K TRAIL RUN/WALK AT BRANDYWINE CREEK STATE PARK!
The trails of Brandywine Creek State Park are waiting for you! Come on over, enjoy the trails, and watch the moonrise of the _Flower Moon_ at the top of Hawk Hill after you cross the finish line.
_This event is a fundraising event for three nonprofit groups_: The Friends of Brandywine Creek State Park, GRIT: Girls Really Into Trails, and the Delaware Interscholastic Cycling League.
Moonrise will be at ~8:20PM and we encourage everyone to bring a chair so you can stick around, enjoy the music, lawn games, s'mores, snacks, and a drink at the top of Hawk Hill. (Adult beverages available for for those 21+). S'mores and lawn games are free for everyone, participating runners and families alike.
Sunset will be at ~7:57PM. While the sun will still be up after most participants complete the event, it is always slightly darker in the woods! If you believe you will be on the race course for close to the full allotted hour, the recommendation would be to bring a head lamp as there will not be additional illumination provided on course.
We just want to remind you so you are properly prepared that this is a trail run/walk and there will be some rocks, roots, grass and other natural surface elements on the course. Come prepared and ready to have fun!
