Organiser's Description
The Motts Run 10-miler is the fifth race in the FXBG Trail series. We unfortunately had to move this race from its original location, the Quarry Trails, to Motts Run Reservoir Recreation Area. We wanted to make this different from the previous events at Motts, so we changed the directions and opted to run on some different trails.
This course starts at the Motts Run Reservoir Marina lower parking lot. The prologue of this race runs up the gravel entrance road and turns left on Lower Suffleupagus Trail and then left onto Reservoir Loop Trail. At the Mine Run stream crossing, you will turn right and run Duff Green Trail loop clockwise back to the Reservoir Loop Trail. Turning right and crossing Mine Run stream and continuing to run the Reservoir Loop Trail Counterclockwise, turning left onto the New Reservoir Trail, back to the Reservoir Loop Trail, and then the final miles will be turning left onto the Old Silo Hiking Trail where you will descend to the marina, crossing the lower parking lot and to the finish at the Nature Center.
