Participants can choose to take part in a 5K race or a 1K walk, with festivities kicking off at 9:00 AM (registration opens at 7:30 AM).
Enjoy a day filled with family activities, delicious food from local food trucks, live music, and special appearances by Cleveland Cavaliers legends and mascot Moondog, who will energize the crowd before the run. Each registration supports Lifebanc's mission to promote awareness about organ donation and assist donor families across Northeast Ohio. Participants will receive a custom finisher medal, a T-shirt, and have a chance to win exciting prizes, including autographed memorabilia! THE LIFEBANC GIFT OF LIFE WALK & RUN is a powerful community event celebrating organ, eye and tissue donors, honoring their loved ones, recognizing transplant recipients, and providing hope to those still waiting for a hero. Join us on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Blossom Music Center for a 5K race, 1K walk, family activities, food trucks, music, and more all in support of Lifebancs mission to educate our community about organ, eye, and tissue donation and support donor families throughout Northeast Ohio.
The need for organ and tissue donors in Northeast Ohio is great. Lifebanc pursues a future where everyone on the transplant waiting list receives a life-saving transplant. All fundraising goes towards educating the community about organ, eye, and tissue donation for transplantation as well as providing support services for donor families.
In partnership with the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS, this year's Gift of Life Walk & Run will feature appearances by a Cavs Legend, taking photos and signing autographs, Moondog, the Cavs mascot and The Cavs Entertainment Team will amp people up before the run. Special Guest Stefani Schaefer will interview Lifebanc CEO, Katie Payne before the Legacy Garden ceremony. The Cavaliers will be giving away a signed basketball to a lucky Team Cavs racer and everyone who registers will be entered to win an autographed Cavs jersey from Lifebanc and The Cavs
