Girls on the Run 5K Presented by EMC Insurance is an exciting event taking place on Sunday, November 10th, 2024 in Des Moines, Polk. This event is open to all community runners who want to support girls throughout central Iowa in being joyful, healthy, and confident. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K distance, all while coming together to celebrate the accomplishments of the Girls on the Run program. The event culminates with a celebratory 5K where program participants of all abilities can experience the pride of crossing the finish line. Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, November 8th at Walnut Creek Y and on Sunday, November 10th at Principal Park. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of a positive and empowering event!

THIS REGISTRATION IS NOT FOR GIRLS ON THE RUN PARTICIPANTS OR COACHES. GOTR PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES ARE ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT.

Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember!
