Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving in style at the inaugural Gulf Coast State College Athletics 5K Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 28th, 2024! Located in beautiful Panama City, Bay, this exciting event features an out-and-back course starting at Frazier Field on the Gulf Coast State College campus, where participants will enjoy stunning views as they trot across the Hathaway Bridge. Whether you choose to run, jog, walk, or waddle, this event is designed for everyone, making it the perfect way to celebrate the holiday with friends and family.
In addition to the 5K run/walk, there’s also a 1-mile fun run for those looking for a shorter distance. All participants will receive a colorful commemorative T-shirt, and awards will be handed out in five-year age groups, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine! Sign up early to secure the early registration fee of $25 (increasing to $30 after November 15th) and be among the first 300 participants to snag a race shirt. Plus, join in the spirit of giving by bringing canned food donations during packet pickup on November 27th to support local students in need. Don’t miss out on this festive community

Gulf Coast State College Athletics is excited to bring you the inaugural, turkey, trot 5K run/walk. This will be an out-and-back course that starts at Frazier Field on the Gulf Coast State College campus and climbs up onto the Hathaway bridge. This run/walk is meant for everyone. We will also have a 1-mile fun run for those wanting a shorter distance.
You can run jog, walk or waddle and start Thanksgiving off right. There will be awards three deep in five-year age groups. All participants will get a colorful commemorative T-shirt and all the fun they can handle. Sign up early and take advantage of the early registration fee. Hope to see you on Thanksgiving morning!
All proceeds to benefit Gulf Coast State College Athletics. All funds will be used to enhance all areas of the athletic program including recruiting, scholarship benefits such as books, tuition, meals, housing, facility improvements, and other related sports functions.
First 300 participants will receive a race shirt. Make sure to sign up early to take advantage of lower pricing!

Early Registration: $25
Registration after November 15th: $30
Age 16 and younger: $20
Packet pickup will be on November 27th in the Wellness Building lobby from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Check out the map below for directions! If you cant make it on the 27th, you can also pick up your packet at check-in on race day.
This year, were partnering with Commodore Cares, who will be holding a canned food drive during packet pickup on Wednesday, November 27th. All donations will go to the Commodore Pantry to help Gulf Coast State College students.
If you know anyone who is interested in the race please let them know we only have a few days (Nov. 15th) left before the price increases from $25 per person to $30 per person. The first 300 people will receive a race t-shirt!
