Organiser's Description
We invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact as a sponsor of the 2ND ANNUAL HAWAII WALK FOR HEALTH, HAPPENING ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 2, 2025, 8 A.M. AT NEAL S. BLAISDELL PARK IN AIEA.
Following the resounding success of our inaugural event, this year's walk continues our mission of advancing health, wellness, and social justice in Hawaii. We realized many have walked for various reasons as health encompasses not just the physical and we cant do it without you.
Why We Walk:
* We walk when words aren't enough. We walk when were overwhelmed.
* We walk to support our workers, our immigrants, our elders, and our youth.
* We walk to stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
* We walk to show solidarity. We walk to show we care.
* Whatever your reason for walking, lets do it together.
Hosted by four community-based organizations the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawaii (UPAAH [https://upaah.org/]), the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON [https://nafconusa.org/]), the Hawaii Workers Center (HWC [https://www.hawaiiworkerscenter.org/]), and the Hawaii Public Health Institute (HIPHI [https://www.hiphi.org/]) this walk raises awareness and funds to support initiatives around health, immigrant rights, workers' advocacy, and cultural education.
The Walk is an easy well-marked trail, mostly on grass on a flat terrain that is suitable for everyone, including beginners, children and even those with reduced mobility. It will be a pre-determined lap with a quarter mile distance within the park with guided signage and support stations along the way.
