Join us for the 23rd Freedom Run for Epilepsy Awareness on Friday, July 4th, 2025, in beautiful Kailua, Honolulu. This vibrant event features a professionally timed 10K and 5K race, as well as a fun, untimed 1-Mile Awareness Walk that welcomes participants of all ages. Gather your family, friends, and community in a spirited celebration of strength, hope, and seizure freedom while raising essential awareness for epilepsy. The event kicks off with check-in at 5:30 AM and the races starting at 7:00 AM sharp at Kailua High School.
Participants can take advantage of exciting perks, including discounts for keiki registrants, chances to win fabulous prizes, and a delicious shaved ice treat for all registered runners and volunteers. Enjoy on-site fun with games and health education from Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience, along with a Pet Oasis to learn about pet seizures. While wed love to welcome your furry companions right to the starting line, our host location (a school campus) has a strict no-pets policy and signs to prove it! dog faceprohibited But dont worry! Weve created a special sign-in and cheering area just down the way for your beloved pets and their loyal humans. Bring your leashed dogs, fancy strollers for cats (weve seen it!), or even a pic of your favorite pet to keep the spirit alive.
