Organiser's Description
The Walk for Health, open to participants of all ages and backgrounds, is a community initiative promoting health and wellness and fundraising for our local organizations!
Join us for a walking exercise of 1/4 of a mile within the park as well as other healthy movement activities such as stretching exercises and escrima. The Walk for Health will also aim to raise funds for the following local organizations to support their programs:
UPAAH (University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Hawaiʻi) promotes community awareness and active involvement in Philippine culture and development. NAFCON (National Alliance for Filipino Concerns) creates action-oriented platform that brings people together through culture&history, education, health&wellness, and economic progress&democracy.HWC (Hawaiʻi Workers Center) advocates for&organizes low-wage, non-union and primarily immigrant and migrant workers.
