Kick off the race with a touching ceremony featuring the Fife and Drum playing Taps, setting the stage for a day filled with camaraderie and celebration. Each participant will receive a custom performance t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by May 12, 2025), a swag bag, and access to a festive post-race celebration with pizza, refreshments, and lively music by DJ Dreux. The first 200 finishers will earn a memorable custom finisher medal, and awards will be presented to the top finishers in various categories, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine. THIS RACE PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL OF US TO PAY OUR RESPECTS, REMEMBER, HONOR AND THANK THOSE AMERICANS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES SERVING OUR COUNTRY. THE RACE COURSE USES A USATF VIRGINIA CAPITOL TRAIL LANDFALL 5K CERTIFIED COURSE, VA22029RT. RUNNERS AND WALKERS WILL START AND FINISH NEAR THE 0 MILE MARKER ON THE CAPITOL TRAIL AND RUN A FLAT AND FAST COURSE THROUGH BEAUTIFUL LANDFALL.
FIFE AND DRUM WILL PLAY TAPS TO KICK-OFF THE RACE IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SACRIFICED ALL!
PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A CUSTOM PERFORMANCE T (RACE T AND SIZE GUARANTEED IF SIGNED UP BY MAY 12TH, 2025), SWAG BAG, ENTRANCE INTO THE POST RACE CELEBRATION. POST RACE CELEBRATION INCLUDES PIZZA, BEER (21 AND OLDER PARTICIPANTS ONLY), AND OTHER REFRESHMENTS (FOR ALL AGES). MUSIC BY DJ DREUX.

The Honor mile is for those who are not ready to run or walk a 5K. It is designed for families to enjoy the outing with little ones. It offers an opportunity for our older citizens to participate and honor our fallen. This is not a timed event. Participants receive a race T, Honor mile finisher medal, and refreshments. -
In Honor of! Virtual 5K

This is an opportunity for those who cannot attend this event in person to complete the distance ( 3.1 Miles) at a time and place of their choosing. Virtual participants have until June 11th, 2023 to complete their 5K. Virtual participants receive a Race T and finisher medal. Swag bags will be shipped for a $9.00 fee.
