Join us on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, in picturesque Williamsburg, James City, for the 3rd Annual "In Honor of!" 5K Run/Walk. This inspiring event is a heartfelt tribute to the brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The race will take place on the USATF Virginia Capitol Trail, featuring a certified flat and fast course that runs through the scenic beauty of Landfall.
Kick off the event with a moving performance of Taps by the Fife and Drum, setting the tone for a day of remembrance and community spirit. All participants will receive a custom performance T-shirt, a swag bag, and access to our lively post-race celebration, which includes delicious pizza, refreshing beverages for those 21 and older, and entertainment by DJ Dreux. The first 200 finishers will also earn a memorable custom finisher medal! Awards will recognize the top three men and women overall, along with age group winners. Don’t miss this opportunity to run or walk in honor of our heroes while enjoying a day filled with camaraderie and celebration!

THIS RACE PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL OF US TO PAY OUR RESPECTS, REMEMBER, HONOR AND THANK THOSE AMERICANS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES SERVING OUR COUNTRY. THE RACE COURSE USES THE USATF VIRGINIA CAPITOL TRAIL LANDFALL 5K CERTIFIED COURSE, VA22029RT. RUNNERS AND WALKERS WILL START AND FINISH NEAR THE 0 MILE MARKER ON THE CAPITOL TRAIL AND RUN A FLAT AND FAST COURSE THROUGH BEAUTIFUL LANDFALL.
FIFE AND DRUM WILL PLAY TAPS TO KICK-OFF THE RACE IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SACRIFICED ALL!

The Honor mile is for those who are not ready to run or walk a 5K. It is designed for families to enjoy the outing with little ones. It offers an opportunity for our older citizens to participate and honor our fallen. This is not a timed event. Participants receive a race T, Honor mile finisher medal, and refreshments. -
In Honor of! Virtual 5K

This is an opportunity for those who cannot attend this event in person to complete the distance ( 3.1 Miles) at a time and place of their choosing. Virtual participants have until June 11th, 2023 to complete their 5K. Virtual participants receive a Race T and finisher medal. Swag bags will be shipped for a $9.00 fee.
