Get ready for the Jingle Trails Challenge on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the beautiful McAllister Park, located in central San Antonio, Bexar. This exciting trail race invites participants to embrace the festive spirit while navigating the rugged terrain of dirt, rocks, roots, and gravel. Runners can choose between a challenging 10K course on the Blue Loop, which will be slightly longer due to construction detours, or a scenic 5K route primarily following the Red Trail.
Dress up in your holiday best and join fellow runners for an unforgettable day filled with fun and camaraderie! The first 250 registrants will be gifted a "Jingle Trail" beanie, and all finishers will receive a hot cocoa mug to celebrate their achievement. Don’t miss out on the packet pickup on December 11 and race day morning, leading up to the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance, along with recognition for masters categories. Organiser's Description
Jingle Trails Challenge is at McAllister Park in central San Antonio. You'll run on dirt, rocks, roots and gravel. This is a trail race, be prepared for uneven surfaces. The routes are not stroller friendly. The 10K race is on the Blue Loop. Please note that there is construction on Blue Loop currently. THIS WILL CAUSE THE COURSE TO BE A LITTLE LONGER THAN 6.2 MILES and will detour us off the Blue Loop for a short amount of time. The 5K is on a separate loop through McAllister, mainly the Red Trail. The two courses will overlap as runners return to the finish area. Come dressed up to celebrate the season. The first 250 who register will receive a "Jingle Trail" beanie and all finishers will receive a finisher's mug to fill with hot cocoa!

This is a chip-timed 10k through McAllister's blue trail loop. The trail has technical areas: strollers and joggers are not recommended. You will be running on dirt, rocks, roots, single track areas. Please watch your footing. Please note: there is construction on the blue loop. This will result in the course being slightly modified and running long. Estimated distance is 6.5 miles vs 6.2 miles so YAY! You get a little extra distance for free! -
