With a total of 18 races scheduled throughout the evening, there will be something for everyone! Participants can look forward to the Open Community Mile kicking off at 5:30 PM, followed by the Kids Open Mile at 5:45 PM. As the evening progresses, you’ll witness fierce competition in the Middle School Elite Miles, Men's Masters Mile, and several High School divisions, culminating in the highly anticipated Men's Elite Mile at 9:10 PM. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, the KC Metro Mile Championship is the perfect chance to be part of a vibrant running community, make unforgettable memories, and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere. Organiser's Description
The Kids Miles and new Community Mile are non-qualifier events and open to everyone. The qualifier events have a limited number of entries available, this year we will separate out all entries in the qualifier events to create the best races possible, no race will have more than 24 entries. Our goal is to have multiple divisions for High School Athletes. Entrants must submit a recent time during registration in order to qualify for those races. All times submitted will be verified. If your qualifying time does not make the final cut for your race, you will be refunded your entry fees.
800M Showcase athletes must apply be submitting times to stevenb@kcrunningcompany.com
For the Elite Male and Elite Female miles, the top 20 submitted times will be eligible to compete.
