The Department of Spanish and Portuguese [https://spanport.indiana.edu] at Indiana University Bloomington is proud to sponsor the 3rd Kimberly Geeslin Memorial 5K Run/Walk in memory of our friend, mentor, educator, and colleague. We hope you can join us!
This year, the race is being run in support of Monroe County Habitat for Humanity Women+ Build! Kim was an ardent supporter of and annual builder at Women+ Build. All proceeds from this run will go directly to Women+ Build in Kim's honor.
RACE DAY INFO
The race will take place at Switchyard Park, with check-in at the picnic shelter next to the playground.
Race Day registration and check-in will start at 8:00AM. Please arrive early to ensure an on-time start at 9:00AM. Walk-ups welcome.
We will run rain or shine but will cancel for thunderstorms or other hazardous weather.
Strollers are welcome as are dogs on 6 foot (or less) leash.
INTERESTED IN HELPING OUT?
We will need volunteers for various tasks on race day. Some volunteer tasks will require during-race commitment; others will occur pre- or post-race and still allow race participation. Volunteers can opt for a free race t-shirt or free race registration for themselves. Interested in helping out at the race instead of (or in addition to) running? Visit the Volunteers tab to sign up!

OPENS 01 MARWe are charging a registration fee for the first time this year to raise money for Habitat for Humanity Women+ Build (an organization and cause that was important to Kim). However, we want everyone who wishes to gather to celebrate Kim to join us. If you are unable to pay the registration fee but would like to participate, please reach out to the race organizer at solonme@gmail.com.
