Join the excitement at the Lake Takanassee Summer Series, running from July 7 to August 4, 2025, in the scenic Long Branch, Monmouth. This vibrant event, established in 1964, features a weekly 5K race and a fun 1-mile kids run, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Takanassee. The kids' 1-mile run kicks off at 6:30 PM, allowing young runners to enjoy a lap around the lake, while the 5K race, comprising four laps, starts at 6:45 PM.

Participants can look forward to a supportive atmosphere where medals are awarded to the top three overall finishers and age group winners in the 5K, as well as to the top three boys and girls in the kids run. Every child in the 1-mile event will receive a ribbon for their efforts, and consistent top performers throughout the series will earn special overall awards.
