Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and fun at the inaugural LARC in the Park 5K Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the beautiful Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, Rockland. Lace up your sneakers and join fellow community members to support a great cause, as proceeds from this vibrant event will benefit the Library Association of Rockland County (LARC) Scholarship Fund and professional development for its members.
Participants can choose to take on the 5K challenge, with entries priced at $32.80 for adults (ages 17 and older) if registered before September 30, or $43.40 thereafter. Youth participants (ages 16 and younger) can enter for just $22.20, and kids up to age 10 can join the fun for free in the Kids' Dewey Decimal Dash, starting at 9:30 AM. The main 5K Run/Walk kicks off at 10:00 AM, and the first 100 registrants will receive a stylish insulated cooler bag. Don’t miss the awards ceremony following the race, where prizes will be awarded to the overall winners as well as the top three finishers in various age categories

LACE UP FOR ROCKLAND'S LIBRARIES! JOIN US FOR THE INAUGURAL LARC IN THE PARK 5K RUN/WALK AT ROCKLAND LAKE STATE PARK ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19. PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE LIBRARY ASSOCIATION OF ROCKLAND COUNTY (LARC) SCHOLARSHIP FUND AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR MEMBERS. LARC IS A 501(C)3 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING ROCKLANDS PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
