Event summary
Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-timer, there's something for everyone at this festive celebration of health and community. Participants can compete for awards in various categories, with recognition for the top three male and female finishers, along with age group awards. COURSE
Start Derby Day with a few furlongs of your own! We kept the Derby date and theme, but our annual race has a new location and a new format this year! Join us as the Fairgrounds in Corydon for a morning of races on and off the horse track. Options include elite mile races (with prize money!), a community mile race, youth races, and a community 5k. We're excited about the 5k course, which is a loop from the Fairgrounds, taking in Indian Creek Trail and historic downtown Corydon. It will include one big hill, a bit of gravel, a beautiful creekside trail, and some road running past the first state capitol, back to the finish.
AWARDS Top 3 female and male, with age group recognition. Top three in the men's and women's elite mile races will receive $100/$50/$25.
FEE Varies by race, with discounts for multiple events. T-shirt optional if registered by April 12th. Children 10 and under may participate in the 5k at no charge if accompanied by a responsible, paying participant. Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Friday, May 1st. Race day registration is available for an extra $5 per race.
