Join us for an exhilarating evening at the Longest Day Mile on Sunday, June 21st, 2026, taking place at the Phoenix High School Track in Jackson. This unique event will feature a series of heats starting at 7:00 PM, catering to runners of all paces, from those aiming for a sub-4:00 minute mile to those looking to complete the distance at a more relaxed pace. With heats scheduled every 15 minutes, there’s a spot for everyone to challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of racing under the summer sky.
Runners will complete four laps around the track, and awards will be given to the top three finishers in all age groups, with special $100 prizes for exceptional performances. This event also supports a great cause—participants are encouraged to bring items for the SOU Food Pantry, such as canned meats and microwaveable sides, helping to stock the pantry for those in need. Mark your calendars and get ready for a fantastic evening of racing, community spirit, and fun!

* 7:20pm- Heat 3 7-9min Pace
* 7:35pm- Heat 4 9-11min Pace
* 7:50pm- Heat 5 11min Pace & Up
COURSE DETAILS: Four times around the Phoenix High School Track
RACE FEES: $13 online or $15 DAY OF
RACE DAY INFO: Registration 5:45-7pm
AWARDS: Ribbons for the top 3 places in all age groups. $100 prize for any male who runs sub 4:00 minutes and any female who runs sub 4:40 minutes.
FOOD DRIVE: Like Longest Night Mile this race will be supporting the SOU Food Pantry. Please bring an item to help us stock their pantry! Main needs are: canned meats (tuna, spam, chicken, etc.), microwaveable sides, breakfast items, and snack foods.
RESTRICTIONS: Absolutely no roller skaters, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, dogs, headphones, or unregistered participants
