Get ready for an exciting day of community spirit and athletic achievement at the 2nd Annual Maple City Half Marathon & 5K on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in beautiful Norwalk, Huron! This vibrant event invites runners of all levels to experience the charm of historic Norwalk while supporting the Norwalk Area United Fund. Participants can choose between two fantastic race distances: the challenging half marathon and the more accessible 5K.
As race day approaches, the organizers are closely monitoring the weather to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. While a few rain showers may make an appearance, the excitement of the race will shine through! Early packet pick-up is scheduled for Saturday from 3-5 PM at Norwalk High School, with race day registration open from 6 AM to 7:30 AM. Don’t miss the pre-race festivities kicking off promptly at 7:30 AM. Join fellow runners and supporters for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and the thrill of crossing the finish line!

HELLO! WE ARE CURRENTLY MONITORING THE WEATHER FORECAST DUE TO IMPACT FROM REMNANTS OF HURRICANE ISIAS.
CURRENTLY WE ARE STILL ON FOR SUNDAYS RACE AS IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE JUST SMALL POCKETS OF ISOLATED RAIN SHOWERS .
WE ARE MONITORING THE SITUATION AND WILL DISCUSS WITH OUR SAFETY PARTNERS LEADING UP TO THE RACE. ANY SIGNIFICANT UPDATES WILL BE COMMUNICATED VIA PARTICIPANT EMAILS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING EVERYONE FOR A WONDERFUL SECOND INSTALLMENT OF THE MAPLE CITY HALF AND 5K AND CANT WAIT TO HOST YOU FOR A FUN, SAFE, BUT MAYBE A LITTLE SOGGY RACE.
REMINDER REGARDING EARLY PACKET PICK UP SATURDAY 3-5PM AT THE NORWALK HIGH SCHOOL (350 SHADY LANE) PARKING LOT WITH PACKET PICK UP ON RACE DAY AT 6AM-7:30AM. PLEASE BE SURE TO ARRIVE ON TIME AS THE PRE-RACE FESTIVITIES WILL START PROMPTLY AT 7:30.
