April is National Donate Life Montha time to honor the extraordinary legacy of organ, eye, and tissue donors, raise awareness about donation, and offer hope to the more than 100,000 people still waiting for a life-saving transplant.
For over 25 years, Mayo Clinic Arizona has walked alongside more than 11,000 patients and their families through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Each transplant represents more than a medical milestoneit is a legacy left behind through the selfless gift of donation. This life-saving work is only possible because donors chose to give life beyond their own.
To honor these legacies, we invite you to join our virtual Gift of Life Honor Walk throughout April. Together, we aim to dedicate 22,000 minutesdouble the number of transplants performedthrough walking, running, or biking. Every minute is in tribute to those who gave, those who received a second chance at life, and those we hope to meet in the future.
