Join us for the 10th Anniversary of the McKaig 5K Trail Race on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in the beautiful surroundings of Wayne, Montgomery. This highly anticipated event promises a fun-filled autumn morning as participants navigate a scenic and challenging course through stunning wooded trails, across streams, and over hills. Each registrant will receive a special McKaig 10th Anniversary Hoodie (if registered by September 28), and all racers can enjoy a vibrant festival area brimming with vendors, music, and delicious post-race food and beverages.
In addition to the exhilarating race, participants can take part in the exciting chili cook-off, where they can taste and vote for their favorite dishes. The McKaig 5K Trail Race also supports an important cause, with 100% of proceeds going towards nature education programs and the preservation of this nearly 100-acre oasis. With professional chip timing, real-time results, and awards for the top finishers in various age groups, this event is not to be missed. Don't forget about the kids, as there will also be a free kids' race and the returning Monkey Rock Miler! Sign up early—this race is limited to the first 125 registrants

It's the 10th Anniversary of the McKaig 5K Trail Race! As always, get ready for a beautiful, fun-packed, Autumn morning at one of the region's most highly regarded 5k Trail Races, but this time, expect a little extra. We'll do everything in our power to make the most memorable event yet!

As always, it's never the same course twice as you run the trails through these beautiful woods, across streams and up and down hills in this scenic but challenging race.
Returning for another season is the MONKEY ROCK MILER, as well as the FREE KIDS RACE

McKaig will be hosting a chili cook-off in the race festival area! Tasting will be free to racers and $5 for non-racers. All who taste will have a vote, with the top 3 chefs receiving medals!
