A THANKSGIVING DAY TRADITION FOR A GOOD CAUSE!
Perfect for a family outing, the Memorial Park Turkey Trot is one of Omaha's longest-running Thanksgiving day races. Runners, walkers, and everyone in between are more than welcome to participate. To enter, simply bring 5 cans of food or a monetary donation, all of which will be given to the Food Bank for the Heartland.
Unofficial bonus points to those who wear a costume ;)
LOCATION
Meet us at the Memorial Park Roundabout [https://maps.apple.com/?address=Memorial%20Park,%20Robert%20H%20Storz%20Dr,%20Omaha,%20NE%20%2068132,%20United%20States&ll=41.262458,-96.001515&q=Dropped%20Pin] on Thanksgiving Day at 9AM! Parking is available around the roundabout, or on the streets in the neighborhood to the north of the Park.
ROUTE
The Trot will begin from the Memorial Park Monument [https://maps.apple.com/?address=Memorial%20Park,%20Robert%20H%20Storz%20Dr,%20Omaha,%20NE%20%2068132,%20United%20States&ll=41.262458,-96.001515&q=Dropped%20Pin]. Runners and walkers will take off east around the roundabout and hang a right on Underwood Avenue. They will then loop around the entire park once for a 2.5K or twice for 5K.
