The Memory Mile Wellness Challenge is a virtual event that helps raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimers Associations The Longest Day.

Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, a brain disorder that causes a progressive decline in memory, thinking and learning. This number is staggering but there are ways to decrease your risk for the disease- one of these is being physically active. This challenge is to promote that healthy habit.
Research suggests, as little as 150 MINUTES A WEEK of moderate-intensity aerobic activity and 2 DAYS OF STRENGTH TRAINING may REDUCE THE RISK FOR DEVELOPING ALZHEIMERS BY UP TO 50%. We will combine all the participants' cardio minutes along with their strength training minutes to TRY AND REACH 6 MILLION MINUTES REPRESENTING THE OVER 6 MILLION PEOPLE LIVING WITH ALZHEIMERS.
