Organiser's Description

Join us for our Summer 2025 Mental Relief 5K Walk/Run series; a seasonable charity event used to raise mental health awareness. Our first Walk/Run event will be held on Saturday, July 12th. Our goal is to also nourish the mind and spirit, maintain good cardiovascular health and network with other people in the community.

At the conclusion of our the walk/run, our yoga session will be hosted by Melan of Adose Wellness.

5K WALK/RUN

YOGA SESSION W/ MELAN

Start Time:

9:30-10:30 AM

Message from Melan: _Relax & unwind through a restorative yoga flow experience paired with breath and sound healing. Attendees are invited to decompress, release tension and stress, reset the nervous system, and embrace a holistic reset._
_In this yoga flow, well take a somatic approach by listening within to the sensations and signals of the body, invite intuitive movement, and sync our breath to movement for an enhanced mind/body connection and intentional release._

_Feel free to bring: A yoga mat and any other props if you have (blankets, blocks, bolsters) a water bottle, and journal if you like for closing reflections. Wear comfortable clothing._

THESE EVENTS ARE HYBRID (ON-SITE AND VIRTUAL):

Onsite Participants

Race Day Check-In:

- The walk/run will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Check-in begins at 8:15 AM. Please allow extra time for check-in, event introduction, and pre-race warmups.

- Water and a snack will be provided and distributed to all participants prior to the event.

- The trail will be explained at the beginning of the run.

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS

You're now able to participate from wherever you are! Steps below:

1. Register through the RunSignUp link.

2. Download an app to track your walk/run time (Some good running apps to consider downloading are: Nike+ Run Club, Runkeeper, MapMyRun, Adidas Running, etc.)

3. Virtual participants must complete their run and submit their times to the link we sent you during registration sometime during the race day. As long as you run at some point throughout the day, your participation will be counted.

4. Afterward, your time will be displayed on the list of other times submitted by other participants. The times will be sent through the follow up email that will be sent out within 48 hours after the event.

5. Be sure to include a picture and/or video of you running or finishing your run and post it on your social profiles or stories! Be sure to include the hashtag: #npzmentality
