Join us for the annual Miles for Matt 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 in Troutman, Iredell. This event is organized to raise funds for the Matthew Bailey Scholarship Fund, which honors the memory of the brave 14-year-old Matthew Bailey who battled a rare and aggressive brain cancer. The race will start at 9:00 AM and is open to both runners and walkers. Come out and support this great cause while enjoying a scenic route through Troutman. Please note that strollers are welcome, but unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. Let's come together to celebrate the life of an incredible young man and make a difference in the community.
Organiser's Description
The Miles for Matt 5K Run and Walk is held annually to raise money for the Matthew Bailey Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is given in memory of 14-year old Matthew Bailey of Troutman. Matt was diagnosed with a very rare, extremely aggressive brain cancer in early 2014. Please join us on Saturday, April 12th 9:00 AM to honor an incredible young man.

Packet pick-up will be at Troutman Town Hall the evening before the race from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Please pick-up early if you can! For those that choose to register the morning of, we will begin at 7:00 am. Please do not bring pets.
