Join us on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, for the inspiring Miles for Matt 5K Run and Walk in beautiful Troutman, Iredell! This annual event is dedicated to raising funds for the Matthew Bailey Scholarship Fund, created in memory of the courageous Matthew Bailey, who bravely battled a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Starting at 9:00 AM, participants of all ages can walk or run the 5K course, making it a perfect family-friendly outing as it is stroller-friendly! Lace up your shoes, gather your friends and family, and come together to honor an incredible young man while supporting a wonderful cause. Don’t miss out on this uplifting and meaningful event!
Organiser's Description
The Miles for Matt 5K Run and Walk is held annually to raise money for the Matthew Bailey Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is given in memory of 14-year old Matthew Bailey of Troutman. Matt was diagnosed with a very rare, extremely aggressive brain cancer in early 2014. Please join us on Saturday, April 12th 9:00 AM to honor an incredible young man.

Packet pick-up will be at Troutman Town Hall the evening before the race from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Please pick-up early if you can! For those that choose to register the morning of, we will begin at 7:00 am. Please do not bring pets.
