WANT TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF? WANT TO SUPPORT A WORTHWHILE CAUSE? SPEND FROM 2 TO 24HRS WITH US RUNNING AND WALKING MIND-NUMBING LAP AFTER LAP AFTER LAP ... ALL WHILE RAISING MONEY TO HELP OUT THE PUPS AND KITTIES AT TAZEWELL ANIMAL PROTECTIVE SOCIETY (TAPS).

Basically a bunch of people are going to get together to run a little, hang out a little, walk a little, snack a lot, laugh a lot, hopefully not much crying, and just have a good time supporting a good cause! Run as much or as little as you want in your chosen time limit.

This will be a laid-back, grassroots event. Family, friends, and spectators are always welcome. Make it a party. There is plenty of room to setup tents, chairs, etc. Feel free to bring outside games as well. Ultras are all about coming together as a community and having a great time.

With this event taking place so close to a residential neighborhood we do have to abide by noise ordinances and respect the quiet hours of 11pm to 7am.

Due to the contsraints of the trail, this event is capped at 200 participants so register early!

Register solo or gather some friends and form a team. When you register, you will receive your own custom fundraiser link that you can send to everyone you know, heck even people you don't know. They will have the option to ignore it or ... donate a set amount to your fundraiser or ... they can even pledge a $ amount per mile you complete on top of their other donation. So the longer you make it without going mad, the more you could raise.

THE 6HR RACES BEGIN AT 7:00 P.M. SATURDAY.

The 6hr insomniac start is 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

THE 2HR RACES BEGIN AT 8:00 A.M. SUNDAY.

Only full laps count!

STAGGERING THE RACES THIS WAY WITH FRESH PEOPLE ON COURSE WILL HELP KEEP EVERYONE MOTIVATED TO HIT THEIR GOALS!

**Awards will be handed out at 10 a.m. Sunday. Must be present to receive awards!!!!!!**

RELAY TEAMS NEED A MINIMUM OF 3 MEMBERS. ONLY ONE TEAM MEMBER IS ALLOWED ON COURSE AT A TIME. EACH MEMBER CAN COMPLETE AS MANY OR AS FEW LAPS AS DESIRED BUT MUST COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE LAP FOR THE TEAM TO BE COUNTED IN THE STANDINGS. WHILE ORGANIZING YOUR TEAMS, LET THEM KNOW THAT THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM! WHEN YOUR 4TH MEMBER SIGNS UP, THE FIRST THREE GET A $5 REFUND OF THEIR REGISTRATION FEE!

There will be one aid station at the start/finish area that you will pass every lap. It will have all the normal junk food necessary to keep your blood sugar up and water/electorlyte drink to keep you hydrated! At certain times we will even have some real food like pizza.

In an effort to reduce waste and litter, our events are cupless. We request that you bring your preferred means of containing fluids, including hot drinks, for during your run and at the aid station. Please make sure that it is not breakable and labeled. We will have some silicone collapsible cups ($5 cash) for sale at check-in.

Please note that there are no pre-filled cups of hydration at the aid stations.

The trail is not lit so all participants will be required to have a light source, headlamps, flashlights, etc. during low light hours!

You will pass a couple porta potties every lap.

During the event, the trail will be more crowded than normal. We ask walkers to be aware of people passing and runners to practice proper trail etiquette when passing walkers.

Anyone caught cutting the course will be disqualified along with their team if on one.
