The race is back this year and will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. Race start time is 7:30am. This will be the full 8.6 mile course from Kersting Ct, up the Mount Wilson Trail to Orchard Camp, and back.
Join us in donating to the Fletcher Trail Maintenance Fund, which supports our dedicated Trail Maintenance Crew volunteers with the necessary equipment, materials, supplies and tools. Our History: The Mt. Wilson Trail Race is one of the oldest trail races in California, the Mt. Wilson Trail Race takes you 8.6 miles from Kersting Court in Sierra Madre to Orchard Camp and back. The elevation gain is over 2160 feet on a winding course that changes regularly due to fire, earthquakes, and erosion. The original path, first used by the Gabrielino Indians, was dug out by Benjamin "Don Benito" Wilson in 1864.

OPENS 02 MARKids Fun Run participants ages 3 7 starts in Kersting Court, run up to Grandview Avenue, turn around and run back to Kersting Court. Parents of children ages 3 7 may choose to run with their child. Total distance is .6 mile. Kids Fun Run participants ages 8 13 starts in Kersting Court, run up Baldwin Avenue to Mira Monte Avenue, turn around and run back to Kersting Court. Total distance is 1.0 mile.
