The shutdown shut us down on Oct 5, but were back with a modified race distance and new course. Our 20 Miler will now be a 10 Miler. The Janet Braunstein race will remain a 5 Miler. Join us at Hains Point for our 2025 Natl Capital 10 Miler and the Janet Braunstein 5 Miler. This course is certified.

All finishers will receive our 2025 commemorative hoodie. (Because weve been asked, no, the hoodie is not dated, so it does not have the date for the October race or the November race. The hoodie does reference the 20 miler. We know, not ideal for the 10 miler, but the shutdown has put us in not ideal circumstances.)

National Capital 20 Miler Awards

* Overall Male and Female: 1st Place: $150, 2nd Place: $75, 3rd Place: $50
* Masters, Overall Male and Overall Female: $50 each
* We will have age group awards three deep. (19 and under, 2029, 3039, 4049, 5059, 6069, and 70 and over)

Directions to the race: The race will follow Ohio Dr. SW around Hains Point at East Potomac Park, Washington, DC. The starting line will be on Ohio Dr. SW, close to the entrance to the Golf range, at the Eastern Gate to East Potomac Park, facing the Washington Channel (you will see the Wharf on the other side of the water).

There is parking near the start first-come-first-serve and parking near the tennis courts on Hains Point. There is also street parking along Ohio Drive. Otherwise, you can park at Parking Lot B NPS on the Potomac side of Hains Point. If all parking lots are full, which is unlikely, continue on Ohio Dr SW for street parking after the bridge.
