This exciting event will kick off at the picturesque Borough Park, celebrating not only the thrill of running but also the 50th Anniversary of the Benjamin House, home to the New Cumberland Public Library.
Runners of all ages are invited to participate in this mainly flat and scenic course, winding through tree-lined streets and offering a refreshing water stop halfway. With awards for the top male and female finishers, as well as age group categories from under 14 to over 70, there's plenty of opportunity for everyone to shine. Don't miss out on the post-race refreshments and the chance to connect with fellow participants. Be sure to register by June 10 to secure your commemorative short sleeve T-shirt! Race-day registration opens at 7:15 AM, so lace up your running shoes and get ready for a fantastic day of fitness and community spirit!

THE NEW CUMBERLAND OLDE TOWNE ASSOCIATION AND THE FRIENDS OF THE NEW CUMBERLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY ARE SPONSORING THE INAUGURAL 5K ON THE 4TH RACE ON JULY 4, 2026. THE RACE WILL BEGIN AND END IN NEW CUMBERLAND'S BOROUGH PARK.
This year, the Friends are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Benjamin House as the site of the New Cumberland Public Library. Our Librarys mission is to encourage lifelong learning by providing a vibrant gathering place where all are welcomed to read, grow, dream, discover, and connect.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Mainly flat course around the park and on tree-lined streets of the area. Water stop half way. Post-race refreshments and awards provided. Timing by Black Cat Timing.
