Get ready for an inspiring day at the No Longer Fatherless 5K, happening on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at Riverside Park in beautiful New Smyrna Beach, Volusia! This uplifting event aims to empower the next generation of youth through the No Longer Fatherless Foundation, which focuses on mentoring young men aged 6 to 19 who are growing up without father figures. Participants in the 5K will enjoy a professionally chip-timed race starting at 8:30 AM, with packet pickup available from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM. All runners will receive a race bib, a stylish race shirt, a finisher medal, and a swag bag for early sign-ups.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Following the 5K, young runners aged 12 and under are invited to participate in the Rocket Race, a thrilling 100-meter dash where they can compete for prizes and, of course, bragging rights! Additionally, teens aged 13 to 16 can take part in The Big Lap Challenge, showcasing their speed in a half-mile race. Join us for a day filled with fun, community spirit, and a commitment to helping our youth become leaders of high character!

THROUGH 1 TO 1 WEEKLY RELATIONAL MENTORING, GROUP MENTORING, AND LIFE SKILL CLASSES, NO LONGER FATHERLESS IMPROVES SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL BEHAVIORS, PERFORMANCE AT SCHOOL, LEADERSHIP, DECISION MAKING, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, AND MORE! ROCKET RACE: Stick around after the 5K to watch your 12 and under runners race like rockets for a 100m dash at Riverside Park. Winners will receive an awesome prize and bragging rights at recess on Monday! Kids do not need to be signed up for the 5K to compete - just point them toward the starting line and get your camera ready!
THE BIG LAP CHALLENGE: Teens, ages 13 to 16, are eligible for this free event following the 5K. Cheer on our teens as they show off their speed in a full lap (about 1/2 mile) around Riverside Park. Prizes for winners!
