Join us for the Oatlands 5K Fun Run on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, in the picturesque town of Leesburg, Loudoun. This exciting event takes place at the historic Oatlands Plantation, a treasured site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Runners of all ages will enjoy a beautiful 5K course that meanders through lush fields, serene streams, and enchanting woods, providing a unique opportunity to experience the same trails used by top cross country athletes in the area.
The fun kicks off at 9:00 am, with registration fees at $30 until July 31 and $40 from August 1 through race day. Online registration is open until 8:30 am on race day, and participants can pick up their race packets at the Carriage House on October 3rd or on the morning of the event. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as top competitors in various age groups. Organiser's Description
Oatlands, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a rich resource for our community, state and nation. We provide historical, educational and recreational experiences to our many visitors. Oatlands was given to the public by the Eustis family in 2965 and has been open to the public since 1966.
Loudoun County Public Schools host many cross country races for high school athletes on the grounds of Oatlands yearly. A large invitational will be held on September 27 and the State Cross Country meet will be held at Oatlands in November. Come run the same course as the area's top cross country athletes. Perhaps you ran here in years gone by and went to test yourself again. Or maybe your student athlete ran here and you want to challenge yourself to making it up Heartbreak Hill!
This is a fun event for all ages on the beautiful trails of Oatlands that winds through the fields, streams, and woods of the Oatlands property. We hope to see you there!
