SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2023
Welcome to Race #3 of our 2023 Olmsted Spirit Race Series! The Second Annual Olmsted Spooky Spirit Run will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2023 @ 6:00PM. The event day will start with the Kids Costume Fun Run (one lap around the OFHS track) and then will offer two competitive events (1500m track race and 2-mile race that includes a 0.5 mile trail loop) with an option for a 2-mile walk as well.
The Spooky Spirit Run benefits two great organizations, The Olmsted Falls Education Association and Princesses Against Cancer!
TENTATIVE RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
6:00PM - Kids Costume Fun Run
6:12PM - National Anthem
6:15PM - 1500m Spooky Sprint
6:30PM - 2-Mile Spooky Spirit Run/Walk
7:00PM - Award
7:10PM - Chinese Raffle
***Appropriate quarter inch spikes may be worn for the 1500 meter Track Race.
****This is a competitive 1500 meter run. Please be able to run the entire 1500m in a time under 14 minutes! Thank you!***
Our 2-mile Spooky Spirit Run/Walk (that includes a 0.5 mile trail loop on OFHS campus) will begin approximately at 6:30PM. This event is open for ALL ABILITY levels. Run or walk, it is entirely up to you! You will start and finish this race under the lights on the OFHS Stadium Track! Costumes are encouraged on this run/walk! Best dressed will win a prize!!
***2-mile Route map will be included for you to reference.
Charity Partners Information
We are excited to partner with two non-profit organizations where our race proceeds will be donated! Princesses Against Cancer and the Olmsted Falls Education Association. There will be a few princesses who will come out and be at our event for the kids fun run!

*** A Saturday Packet Pick Up will be held at a site and time TBD! ***
Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration:
Sunday, October 8 from 4:30PM- approximately 5:50PM. There will be a table near the windows looking out into the courtyard in the Olmsted Falls High School Cafe. Please help us keep our events timeline running smoothly and show up early to pick up your bib. If you can help it, please do not wait until 5:50PM to show up and pick up. Thank you!

***This is a 1500m competitive RUN. You must make an effort to run the entire mile and have a time of under 15 minutes to compete please!
2-Mile Spooky Spirit Run/Walk (1 Loop through the Spooky Trail):
6:30PM will be the approximate start time!
Kids Costume Fun Run Around OFHS Track:
6:00PM will be the approximate start time!
What You Get With Registration:
1 and 2-mile Run and 2-Mile Walk - Your Bib, Raffle Ticket, Custom Event "Old Fashioned" Glass, mini-pumpkin to paint before or after your race
Kids Fun Run - Your Bib, Raffle Ticket, mini-pumpkin to paint before or after race, Finisher Medal
T-shirts will be available for purchase and are not included with registration. They will be a soft-style long sleeve t-shirt! $20 for unisex adult Sizes Small through XL. $24 for 2XL and 3XL.
***The deadline to register and have the ability to add on and purchase a t-shirt will be Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at 4:00PM!***
Award Information -
The top overall finisher in the 1500 meter Track Race will receive an award (a large pumpkin and pair of awesome GOODR Shades!)
The top overall Female and Male in the 2-mile Run will receive an award (a large pumpkin and Gift Card to Second Sole Lakewood)
The top overall Female/Male in the 1 and 2-mile Run in the following age groups will receive an award -
10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up
***The best adult costume will win a prize as well***
***ALL KIDS PARTICIPATING IN THE KIDS FUN RUN WILL RECEIVE A MEDAL!***
***The kid with the best costume will also win a prize!***
