The East Oreland Neighborhood Association (EONA) is bringing back the Oreland 5K for the thirteenth year. This community event includes a 5K run, 1 mile walk and 1/2 mile kid fun run. This year race proceeds are being donated to The Breathing Room.
The Breathing Room Foundations mission is to provide individualized care and support to families affected by
cancer addressing emotional, physical, spiritual and financial challenges so that families can focus on
healing. Their programs include financial support for critical needs, transportation to treatment, childrens
support (holiday baskets, school supplies), and home-based comfort services like groceries, meals and
check-ins. They serve families in the greater Philadelphia region (including Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware,
Philadelphia and Chester counties). Since its founding in 1997, The Breathing Room Foundation has served
over 20,000 recipient families.
