This virtual distance challenge aims to raise crucial funds for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as they send four dedicated pastors to Norway to support humanitarian efforts and rebuild congregations amidst the challenges faced by the Christian Church there.
Participants will have the opportunity to collectively cover the impressive distance of 4,308 miles—the equivalent of the journey from St. Louis to Oslo, Norway—through walking or running. This exciting challenge is designed like a combined 5k, encouraging everyone to contribute their miles toward a meaningful cause. Join us in making a difference and compete for prizes as we strive for hope and support for those in need!

Organiser's Description
The Christian Church in Norway has been pressured into submission by the State Church of Norway which does not place its faith in the teachings of Holy Scripture. The Christian Church is the greatest humanitarian provider and source of hope for those in need. The need has increased with the displacement of Ukrainian refugees into different areas of Europe including Norway. The need for the life giving words of the Bible and assistance for the poor and needy is the reason that the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is sending 4 new pastors to help start and maintain congregations in Norway.
St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Troy IL will be hosting a virtual distance challenge in July to help raise funds for the efforts of the new pastors heading to Norway to help rebuild the church and assist in humanitarian efforts. The distance challenge will be like a combined 5k, except the distance we are hoping to collectively achieve will be the distance from St. Louis to Oslo Norway, or 4,308 miles. There will be prizes for the top group and top individuals who walk / run the longest distance.
