Join us for our 3rd Annual 1-Mile Walk, Roll, or Run event to support the Alzheimer's Association in Shiawassee County! Let's come together for a fun and meaningful morning to raise awareness and funds for a cause close to our hearts.

    Schedule of Events 7:30 AM Volunteer Check-In & Set Up Our volunteers begin preparing the event grounds and welcome area for participants. 8:00 AM Sponsor & Vendor Set Up Sponsors and vendors may access the building and event grounds to set up their displays and activities. 8:30 AM Participant Arrival & Community Gathering Participants are invited to check in, visit our sponsors, explore vendor booths, enjoy a light breakfast-themed snack, and commemorate the day with photos. Take time to connect with friends, family, and fellow supporters before the ceremony begins. 9:45 AM Opening Ceremony Join us for a meaningful ceremony honoring those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The ceremony will include an interactive Promise Garden experience, where participants can recognize their personal connection to the cause through the symbolic Promise Garden flowers. 10:00 AM Walk Begins Participants will take to the route together in support of a world without Alzheimer's. The route will include a hydration station stocked with water to keep walkers refreshed along the way. Registration $25 per participant Registration includes event participation, access to all activities, refreshments, and the opportunity to join our Promise Garden ceremony. Event T-Shirts Show your support and commemorate the day with an official Walk to End Alzheimer's event t-shirt. SXL: +$10 XXLXXXL: +$13 T-shirts must be purchased during registration and quantities may be limited. About the Promise Garden The Promise Garden is a powerful visual reminder of why we walk. Participants are invited to select a flower that represents their connection to Alzheimer's disease: yellow circle Yellow I care for someone living with Alzheimer's. blue circle Blue I am living with Alzheimer's or dementia. purple circle Purple I remember someone I've lost. orange circle Orange I support the fight against Alzheimer's. white circle White I believe in hope for the first survivor of Alzheimer's disease. Together, these flowers create a beautiful garden of hope, remembrance, support, and determination to end Alzheimer's.
