The Pengelly Double Dip is a steep, mountain half marathon. Sign up early or you'll miss out on this classic Missoula trail race.

Pengelly Double Dip

A tall half marathon+ with 3,400 ft of elevation gain. Very challenging and always worth it! 250 runner cap. Cut off times of 9:50 AM (1 hour 50 minutes) from start to saddle and 11 AM to saddle after M, before Smokejumper decent (3 hours). If you miss either cutoff, your bib will be removed at the Saddle Aid station and you can either come down on food, or ride down with aid station volunteers after the race (11:55 AM). There are 3 aid stations on this course. This is a cupless event, and all runners will have the option to take a HydraPak Speed Cup to fill at aid stations and the finish line. You may also bring and fill your personal hydration device. -
Bob Hayes Single Dip

Probably the toughest first mile of a 10K that you'll ever do. After that, it ain't so bad! Best views in town! Over 500' of elevation in the first mile. 100 runner cap. There is one aid station on this course. This is a cupless event, and all runners will have the option to take a HydraPak Speed Cup to fill at aid stations and the finish line. You may also bring and fill your personal hydration device. No course time limits, walkers welcome! -
