WELCOME BACK RUNNERS!! THIS IS THE 11TH RUNNING!!!
The Sorry 'Bout That 1/2 Marathon and Team Relay is back for 2025. Hopefully it will be above freezing this year on race day, but not by much.
The course will be anti clockwise this year, meaning a downhill start start and downhilll finish, with the large uphill in the middle miles. Two aide stations and one portajohn will be on the course. AntiClockwise means it goes the opposite direction of an old clock with hands. All turns on the course are to the left except for one.
Free Finisher Medals with entry and finish. If you enter the race and don't run you will not get a medal
This year T shirts are extra cost. I have been informed by the accountants that the race can not afford to keep losing money every year. T shirt option was turned off on 12/29/2024.
Wear a costume get a :30 second head start.
Packet Pickup is same day only.

COURSE
Start and Finish at the Mission Valley Aquatic Center on Ridgwater Drive Polson, MT. Its a large anticlockwise loop. Start on Ridgewater, turn left onto bike bath heading north. Follow bike path until you make a right turn (the only right turn) onto 7th ave west. Continue on 7th avenue through town heading west. Road turns to the left heading up hill and becomes Kerr Damn road and then Back Road. Continue running on Backroad all the way to Reservoir Rd. Turn left on Reservoir Rd heading east toward the mountains. Stay on Reservoir Rd for about 4 miles, at the traffic light turn left onto bike path and run adjacent to highway 93 heading north toward the Lake. Follow bike path all the way back to Ridgewater drive. Take left onto Ridgwater and return to MVA.
PARKING
NO Parking in the Mission Valley Aquatic Center. All parking for the race will be at the soccer fields behind the pool. Drive past the pool on Ridgewater, turn right and go into large gravel lot behind the pool.

The relay team consist of 3 people ideally. If you want only 2 people that's okay, one of you will run further. If you want to use more than 3 that's okay too, you can determine where your own exchanges occur. We are happy you and your friends want to run, but your team will not be considered for prizes in the team relay event. Relay exchanges will occur at the aide stations. Transportation to and from the aide stations must be planned and performed by the race participants. No transportation will be provided.
