Kicking off at 9:15 AM with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem, the Fun Run starts at 9:30 AM, followed by the 5K and Soldier Stroll at 10:15 AM. The route takes participants through scenic athletic fields, Shepard Hill Elementary, and a friendly neighborhood, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all skill levels. Proceeds from this event will benefit local organizations such as the VFW, American Legion, and Veteran's Coffeehouse, making your participation even more meaningful. Organiser's Description
Run for fun, run to challenge yourself, or run in honor of a veteran. This fun race is hosted by Plainfield Recreation to honor and support our military troops and veterans. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the local VFW, American Legion, and Veteran's Coffeehouse.
Beginning at 9:15am with the National Anthem, the Fun Run will then take off at 9:30am. The Soldier Stroll and 5K will follow starting at 10:15am with the walkers to start in back of the runners.
The route will begin and end at Plainfield High School and follow a route that moves through the athletic fields, Shepard Hill Elementary, and a small neighborhood. Both races are intended for all abilities and skill levels.
