ALL PROCEEDS FROM SPONSORSHIPS AND RUNNERS WILL GO TOWARD THE WEST ORANGE JUNIOR SERVICE LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP FUND! Your contributions and support will directly impact local high school seniors in our community to achieve their collegiate goals.
Come run or walk this evening race and enjoy the creative decorations through beautiful Oakland Park in Winter Garden. This unique, nighttime, family-friendly 5K is sure to be fun for everyone. Bring your friends, family, or a team to create new healthy, autumnal traditions and memories. This event features a 5K, a Kids Fun Run, games, treats, festive activities, food trucks, live DJ, and much more.
Each registered 5K participant will receive a timed race, _DRY-FIT_ t-shirt, goodie bag, finishers medal, and post-race snacks. We will have prizes for our top finishers (best time) and a special cash prize for our top under 18 years old runners in the main race.
We have two options for kids prior to the official 5K. Ages 6-11 are invited to participate in the 1/2 mile fun run. Kids 5 and under will have a shorter fun race up the street for free. All kids MUST register and sign a waiver online prior to the event. If you would like a race shirt for your child, they will be available for an additional fee. Registration for this event will close at 5:30 pm on race day.

There will be signs directing you to parking for the race. THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE ACTUAL SITE!! There will be shuttle buses running from each of the parking sites to the race site every 10-15 minutes starting at 4:45 pm.

5K RUN/WALK STARTS AT 6:30 PM - the start line will be left open for 5 minutes. Results are based on chip times.
The course will have a water stop around midway.
This year celebrates our 16th anniversary of our 5K in Oakland Park. We want to thank everyone who has participated over the years to make this such a successful fundraising event. We would like to extend an extra special THANK YOU to the residents of Oakland Park for allowing us to host this event in their beautiful community. As mentioned above, this year, all the money raised from this 5K will go directly toward the WOJSL's Scholarship Fund.
The West Orange Junior Service League is a local nonprofit organization comprised of a dedicated and compassionate group of women who come together to benefit our community by philanthropic stewardship. Each year the WOJSL has three fundraising events: a fall themed 5K, Winter Garden Christmas Golf Cart Parade, and the ever-so-popular Run for the Roses Derby Party. Monies raised at these events are then dispersed annually to local nonprofit organizations in need, within our West Orange community, or directly to students through the Scholarship Fund. The Pumpkin Patch Dash 5k will start at 6:30 pm sharp following the kids' fun run at 6:00 pm. Run or walk this fun fall 5k as you tour the beautifully decorated homes in Oakland Park. This event will start before sunset and depending on your pace you might finish in the dark. Bring glow sticks, flash lights and anything you want to aid you on the route, luminaries will be setup along the course with turn arrows to guide the way. All main 5K registration fees include a t-shirt. Come early to join the family party in advance of the race, and grab some food at the food trucks and hang out at the various activity tables. -
Kids 1/2 Mile Run

For children ages 6-11, we will have a half mile run starting at 6:00 pm. The course consists of a 1/2 mile loop for children to walk or run. jack-o-lantern Turn arrows will be setup along the route. Parents wanting to escort their kids are asked to please stay in the back of the pack to avoid getting in the way of the faster ones. This will keep everyone safe. T-shirts for kids in this race will be an additional fee. -
Kids Fun Run
