This vibrant community event invites participants of all ages to enjoy a scenic 5K course that kicks off at the Lee's Summit West Activity Complex at 8:00 AM, following registration from 7:30 to 8:00 AM.
Not only is this race a fantastic opportunity to get active, but it also supports the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation, with the top three schools boasting the highest participation earning grants of up to $1,000! In addition to the main 5K event, there is a Kids Dash for children up to 6th grade that promises to be a delightful experience for the little ones. They will have the chance to run in groups by age, with distances ranging from 50 to 200 meters. Don't forget to register by September 29 to secure your T-shirt and be a part of this inspiring event that honors the memory of former LSR7 student Carrie Foresee. KIDS DASH FOR CHILDREN UP TO 6TH GRADE BEGINS ON THE TRACK AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 5K RUN/WALK (TYPICALLY BETWEEN 8:45 AND 9 A.M.). CHILDREN WILL RUN IN GROUPS WITH LIKE-AGE KIDS. THE OLDEST CHILDREN WILL RUN APPROXIMATELY 200 METERS (HALF LAP). THE YOUNGEST CHILDREN WILL RUN APPROXIMATELY 50 METERS. _5K REGISTRATION IS NOT INCLUDED WITH A KIDS DASH REGISTRATION.
