This exciting 5K run kicks off the inaugural Laurel Dace Day, a vibrant celebration dedicated to raising awareness for the critically endangered Laurel Dace fish, found only on Walden's Ridge. Participants can lace up for the 8 a.m. ET 5K or join in the family-friendly half-mile fun run starting at 9 a.m. ET. Everyone will receive a free custom t-shirt for their participation!
After the race, the festivities will continue at the Spring City Nature Park, where you can enjoy a local farmers market, browse artisan vendors, and groove to live music. There will be plenty of delicious food and drink options, along with engaging activities hosted by the Tennessee Aquarium's conservation scientists and educators. Whether you're a runner or a supporter, come out to celebrate and help us in the Race to Save the Laurel Dace!

Laurel Dace Day is a CONSERVATION CELEBRATION and festival that raises awareness of a critically endangered fish found only on nearby Walden's Ridge. Register for the 8 a.m. ET 5K or bring the whole family to the half-mile fun run starting at 9 a.m. ET and receive a free custom t-shirt for participating in the Race to Save the Laurel Dace!
Runners and non-runners are welcome to join the Laurel Dace Day festivities!
After enjoying a mostly flat run or walk in historic downtown Spring City, meet us at the finish line in the Spring City Nature Park next to the beautiful Piney River. There, the festivities will begin with a local farmers market, artisan vendors, music, food and drink options, fun activities with the Tennessee Aquarium's conservation scientists and educators, and much more!
