Event summary
The 11th Annual Run for All Children, organised by founder Brian Powers, is set to take place on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, in St Petersburg, Pinellas. This family-friendly event includes a certified, chip timed 5K and 1-mile run starting in front of Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, with a scenic course along the downtown waterfront. Participants can enjoy a post-race Finish Line Fest and a kids' dash near the finish line area. The race benefits patients and families at the hospital, with all proceeds going towards areas of greatest need. Unfortunately, this year's event has been cancelled due to the impact of Hurricane Helene, but registered participants can still pick up their official shirt and medal at the hospital on Friday, October 4th. The event encourages participants to run on their own in support of the hospital and local relief efforts. Join the community in making a difference for children and families in need with the Run for All Children.
Organiser's Description
The 11th Annual Run for All Children is a family-friendly, race benefitting the patients and families at Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital.
The starting line for this certified, chip timed 5K and 1-mile run will be in front of the main hospital, with a beautiful course along the downtown St Petersburg waterfront and ends back at Johns Hopkins All Children's where there will be a post-race Finish Line Fest. A kids' dash will take place near the finish line area.
The inaugural race was held in 2014, born from founder Brian Powers desire to make a difference in the lives of children and their families after experiencing firsthand the positive impact offered by the dedicated staff and volunteers of a neonatal intensive care unit. The 11th annual Run for All Children will once again draw participants from throughout the region.
