Join us for the sixth annual "Run For Her Life" on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in beautiful Newton, Jasper! This inspiring event features both a 5K and a Half-Marathon, offering participants the chance to run in person or virtually while supporting an incredible cause. Organized by the Phoenix Phase Initiative, a dedicated Iowa-based nonprofit, this event aims to empower women who have survived the horrors of sexual trafficking.
As you lace up your running shoes, remember that your participation helps provide these brave women with the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Enjoy live music, a complimentary beer from Gezellig Brewing Company (or craft soda), and delicious offerings from a food truck as you celebrate this important mission. This is the sixth annual "Run For Her Life" virtual/in-person 5K and Half-Marathon!
The Phoenix Phase Initiative is an Iowa-based non-profit dedicated to helping women who have been sexually trafficked around the world. These women are rarely given a chance to escape and, when they do get the chance, they RUN for it! The Phoenix Phase Initiative is there so they have a place to run _to_ where they can be accepted, receive counseling, and learn job skills so they can break the cycle and create new lives for themselves and their children. The in-person race will have LIVE MUSIC, a FREE beer from Gezellig Brewing Company (or craft soda), and a food truck.
To be guaranteed a shirt the day of the run, PLEASE sign up by March 30, 2026.
Please note: Runners/walkers who sign up after March 30, 2026 WILL receive a shirt, but it will likely NOT be available the day before or the day of the race! They will be made after April 18 and distributed as soon as possible.
This will be an open course, but there will be police presence and volunteers directing traffic at the major intersections. Please follow all traffic laws!
