Join us for the inspiring Run To Set Them Free 5K and 10K Run and Walk on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Riverbends Park in Shelby Township, Macomb. This uplifting event aims to raise awareness and funds to combat the heartbreaking reality of human trafficking, a crisis affecting millions worldwide. With a 10K starting at 9:15 AM and the 5K following shortly after at 9:30 AM, participants of all ages can make a difference while enjoying a day of fitness and community spirit. Children can also get involved with a special Kids Fun Run starting at 10:30 AM. Every step you take will contribute to supporting survivors and providing them with the hope and resources they need to reclaim their lives. Every 40 seconds, someone becomes the victim of modern-day slavery.
There are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in history with an estimated 40 million in bondage across the globe. Men, women, and children are being exploited for manual and sexual labor against their will. Sex and labor trafficking have occurred throughout the Detroit metro area and continue today. With no safe haven, identity or money, they lack the hope that their circumstances will ever change. Will you fight for freedom with us and help change a life?
HOPE Against Trafficking is proud to announce our annual RUN TO SET THEM FREE 5K/ 10K Run and Kids Fun Run, Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Riverbends Park in Shelby Township, MI.
The proceeds from the Run to Set Them Free 5K/10K will go towards supporting survivors free from Human Trafficking. We cant do this alone! We hope you will join us in our mission to empower survivors of Human Trafficking by participating in our RUN TO SET THEM FREE 5K/10K & Kids Fun Run or by becoming a precious race sponsor.
